1. shampoo hair using a ph acid balanced shampoo. towel dry. 2. empty desired amount into a plastic bowl (1/2 bottle for short hair- full bottle for long hair.) apply evenly with a tint brush. 3. do not apply to scalp, but 1/2 inch from scalp. saturate hair thoroughly. comb evenly through the hair until it becomes frothy. 4. leave on hair about 25 minutes. 5. rinse hair thoroughly, wash away from the faace. works best on hair pre- lightened to a very light blonde. fades gradually with each shamp

I dyed my hair purple for about a month. This is the best purple I’ve ever used. It looks purple in yellow light and blue in lights that I don’t know the name of. It looked blue in my refrigerator light and classroom lights. I recommend using L’Oreal EverPure Sulfate-free color care system as it did not fade my hair! It stayed a bright purple for over a week before it started to become dull.
This doesn’t smell bad and it feels like children’s finger paint. It does stain so be careful not to spill or drip any on any surface. I am definitely going to dye my hair purple again.

Vibrant color, great for temporary color,
I got this for my 13-year-old who wanted to experiment with funky colors. It was a vibrant purple on her red hair and looked beautiful. It was also very temporary (lasted less than two weeks) which was perfect for her to try things out. So if you’re looking for something that will last then this is not the product. But if you’re just trying things out or want temporary color it’s great! (Plus it was a fun flashback to high school, when it was either this, punky color, or kool-aid)

Nice color, little holding power,
Used this on my daughter’s hair and was disappointed with the staying power of this dye. The color washed our after two shampoos. Ah well…
